Because we are committed to honesty in our relationships we tell you how it is: during the procedure you may feel some discomfort similar to a sting, which is related to the sensation of heat caused by the laser. This has varying degrees of severity depending on everyone’s individual predisposition.
The treatments are performed by properly trained beauticians with extensive experience, who are at your service if you have any questions or concerns.
As you know laser technology is not for everyone, it may be that you have contraindications to photorejuvenation treatment. Contraindications are divided into permanent and intermittent. Both the former and the latter can change, and we want to make sure that we perform the treatments taking care of your safety, because it (has always) been our priority. That’s why, before each treatment, we’ll ask you if anything has changed since our last meeting and ask you to sign a consent form.
In people with fair skin, the side effects are milder. The darker the skin, the more intense the skin reactions will be.
Common side effects:
A slight erythema in the hair follicle area is visible after the treatment. These effects are normal and last a few hours, rarely up to 2 days, and very rarely several weeks.
Rare side effects:
blisters, scabs (usually heal within a week);
pigmentation changes (mainly occur as a result of not using sunscreen) and can last up to several months.
Very rare side effects:
permanent changes in pigmentation and scarring;
“paradoxical” hair growth, more common in patients with dark skin.
